1. The Mind/Body Connection

Our physical health and mental well-being are inextricably linked. Poor mental health has a detrimental effect on our bodies. Negative thoughts cause stress, which upsets the hormonal balance and depletes the neurotransmitters the brain needs to produce feelings of happiness. There is also evidence that chronic stress leads to such conditions as high blood pressure, anxiety, a weakened immune system, and certain digestive disorders, all of which can lead to more serious and even fatal diseases.

On the flip side, maintaining great physical health can have a life-altering impact on your mental wellness. This is exemplified through the mood-elevating endorphins released during exercise. Without the stress of worrying about your physical health, your mind is free to expand to its full potential. You can spend your time concerned with personal goals. You have energy to dedicate to building your intimate relationships, improving your financial situation, and jump-starting your career.

In order to reach Peak State, improving your general health must be a top priority. First, you must assess what is holding you back from your optimal well-being. Are you exercising often enough? Are you eating nutritionally rich foods? Are you sleeping well? Have you seen a doctor for your annual check up this year? Start your journey towards excellence by addressing these issues. Set small, realistic goals for your personal well-being, and stick to them. Without health, we have nothing. The power of self-improvement lies in you; you just have to commit yourself to improving the health and wellness of your body and mind.

  2. 5 Ways to Stay Self-Motivated

    1) Mission Statement

Creating a mission statement for yourself can be the best investment of time you spend for years to come. This is because this statement, as simple and basic as it may be, will give your life meaning and purpose. It will also allow you to deliberately direct your focus.

    2) Visualization Exercise

Think about your goals and see, feel, taste, and smell your goal being accomplished. Imagine how people will react to you when you have accomplished your task. Enjoy every moment of it. By conjuring a mental image of it, you create a synthetic experience in your mind. Your mind will then direct you to its fulfillment by modifying your behavior to be consistent with the attainment of that goal.

    3) Enhancement of Self-Image

The strongest predictor of human behavior is the self-image. The ultimate factor involved in all of the decisions you make, whether consciously or subconsciously is the need to stay consistent with your self-image. Your accomplishments in life are dependent upon the expectations you have of yourself. The degree to which you accomplish is based on meeting these expectations. What you expect from yourself is determined by how you view yourself, your self-perception. Because this is such a strong determinant of your behavior, changing your self-image can cause astronomical changes in your outcomes.

    4) Create an Empowering Meaning

The technique of Creating an Empowering Meaning can change your daily experience of life in a moment. When you utilize this technique, you are literally changing your experience in its present moment. This technique is based on the premise that “Nothing in life has any inherent meaning; it only has the meaning we assign to it.” Therefore, we can change what things mean to us, and use that to our advantage.

    5) Focus on what you can control, and don’t focus on what you cannot control

Spending time, energy, and effort on things that you cannot control is the best way to sap your energy and zest for life. Focusing on the things you can control actually gives you the feeling that you are in more control of your life and increases your options. This can increase your quality of life drastically.

  3. Strengthen Your Mental Focus

To reach a new goal that has been laid out will take dedication, hard work, self reflection, and super-human determination. Reaching your Peak State is a matter of integrating proper mental capabilities while focusing on optimum health and well-being. Dr. Alashari is one of the best public speakers of our time. Through a riveting speech he can teach how improving mental focus to help bring goals into focus. Focus will help zero in on any task that has been set out to achieve, while distractions can detract from the overall goal. Mental focus is one thing that Dr. Alashari talks about during his public speaking seminars, and he will help you exercise your mental capabilities.

When a goal has been set out, there is a need to control mental capabilities so that the goal can be reached in the end. Strengthening mental focus is one way in which you can train yourself to get a lot more done in a shorter amount of time. Over time, and with a lot of mental exercise, your body will begin to function more efficiently. Not only will your mental focus improve but your overall quality of life may improve as well. Too many Americans live their entire lives without ever tapping into their full mental and physical potential, and this is what a great public speaker will try to improve.

Tapping into the full potential of the mind is easier when thinking of the mind like a muscle. Regular use and exercise will help it expand and grow. This is one of the main points when Dr. Alashari speaks at any event. His main focus is to help everyone in attendance understand that their mind and their bodies should both be taken care of in order to obtain the inspiration and drive necessary to reach Peak State.

  4. State of Mind Determines Quality of Life

There are two factors that determine our quality of life, ie, how happy we are. These two factors are: our emotions and decisions. But what determines the quality of these two factors? It is our state of mind. Thus, how happy or unhappy we are in our lives is dependent on our mental state.

Most people’s state of mind is a reflection of their circumstances. If the situation is good, they feel good. If the situation is bad, they feel bad. With this approach to life, the individual relinquishes all control over their mental processes.

The same is true if we link our happiness to material objects or other people. If our sense of well-being or approval is contingent upon the presence of these items or people in our lives, we give them control over us, rather than being in control ourselves.

What is truly amazing, and uniquely human, is that we can choose our states of mind regardless of our external conditions. We can just as readily switch from a lousy state to a more positive one.

The second fact is that our state of mind determines what kind of decisions we will make. It is obvious that you will make a very different decision if you are scared or fearful versus if you are feeling strong and confident. The decisions you make also determine your quality of life. The reason is that our decisions are a cause set in motion. Our decisions transform our inner abstract world into the external material world. So if we have healthy positive thoughts, and an elevated state, it will manifest as abundance and facilitate the acquisition of that which we desire. The reverse is exactly true. If we have negative disempowering thoughts and a depressed state, this will manifest as scarcity and loss.

This is your call to action:

    • Become proactively aware of your state of mind.
    • If you find yourself in a disempowering state, change it by changing what you are focusing on
    • Recognize the decisions you need to make in your life
    • Before making the decision, switch into a strong state and then make the decision
  5. How “Knowing Yourself” Helps Reach Your Goals

Accomplishing goals is one area in which many people need some extra help. It is one thing to set goals, it is another to learn how to achieve them. Many professionals do not have an accurate sense of their own strengths and weaknesses. Reaching new heights in any area of your life can be achieved through hard work, dedication, the right mindset, and being mindful of who you are and what you can accomplish. Dr. Alashari is an outstanding public speaker that helps people unlock their true potential through innovative and exhilarating talks.

Reaching personal and professional goals can only be achieved if you are honest about who you are. You need to know each and every strength and weakness. Those who cannot honestly identify their weaknesses will fall into the same traps they have been navigating for years. It is only through total honesty and hard work that weaknesses can become your strengths. A more thorough understanding of yourself will also help you reflect on the life you have been living and the life in which you want to live. Seeking help from specialized individuals to help better an understand strengths and weaknesses. Personal reflection will be an ongoing task throughout the journey.

Join Dr. Alashari at his next speaking event. As a professional public speaker his job is to empower people to reach their peak potential. His book and his words of wisdom will help you take control of your life and your future. Sometimes a small tweak is all that is necessary for you to change your life.

  6. Our Starting Beliefs Determine Our End Results

Our beliefs have tremendous power over our lives. In fact, our belief about any situation will determine its outcome. It sounds pretty extreme, but it’s actually true. In order to more fully understand how this happens, let’s ask our first question:
    What is a belief?
A belief is a sense of certainty that something is true. It doesn’t matter whether the thing in question is actually true or not, all that matters is that it is perceived to be true. Once the belief is in place, all thoughts and subsequent actions will be consistent with the belief. It is the thoughts and actions that come as a consequence of the belief that gives it all of its potential power. This is a double-edged sword because if the belief is positive and empowering, it will lead to positive and empowering results. On the other hand, if the belief is negative and disempowering, it will lead to negative and disempowering results. Don’t forget that beliefs need not be based in truth to be acted upon as if they are true.

Now that we know where the belief’s potential power comes from, the next question is:
Where do beliefs themselves come from?

Beliefs are ingrained into our minds starting at a young age. We get conditioned by our environment and learn what is right and wrong, good and bad, appropriate and inappropriate by those in proximity to our lives. This is why people of different cultural backgrounds have vastly different beliefs and views of the world. Acknowledging this fact has enormous power as well. This means that our beliefs came to us by default, not by design. This also means that if we take inventory of our beliefs and actively change them to empower us, we can have more control over our lives, and increase our quality of life.

This leads to the third question: How do we change our beliefs?

Beliefs are formed by the accumulation of references that are consistent with the belief. References can be real or imagined, and come from our own thoughts and experiences, or other people’s words or actions. For example, if you believe that you shy or timid, this may be because you feel nervous talking to new people you meet. It could be because you were told so, or it could be because you have a sense of apprehension if you are required to speak up. This doesn’t mean that you are a shy person per se, but rather, that your behavior is consistent with one who believes he or she is shy. In order to change your behavior, all you have to do is change your beliefs. In order to change your beliefs, all you have to do is change your references. For example, if you watch those who are confident and model their behavior, this can serve as positive reference. Also, if you force yourself to proactively go out to people and build rapport with them, this will give you a reference of self-confidence. In addition, reading about great leaders who changed the world by speaking up will provide the reference that if another person can do it, than certainly you can. Even just imagining yourself speaking with confidence can provide an imagined reference that can boost your self-esteem. This is how the power of visualization works.

    Your call to action:

    • Determine the outcome of a situation that you really want
    • Ask yourself: “What would I have to believe in order to take action toward what I want?”
    • Write down the outcome and the belief that is consistent with that outcome
    • Build references that are consistent with the belief, and get rid of references that refute it
    • Enjoy the process of self-actualization!
  7. 6 Ways To Keep Life In Perspective

If I could share 500 words to inspire, this is the important wisdom I’d want to pass along to others…

Here are the top six pieces of advice that can increase the quality of life and easily keep it in perspective:

    1) Nothing in life has any inherent meaning; it only has the meaning you assign to it. Shakespeare once said, “There is nothing good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

You can actively change the meaning of any circumstance in your life to one that empowers you. The way to do that is by asking empowering questions. These questions will lead to empowering answers. Here are a few examples:

    • What is good about this?
    • What is funny about this?
    • How is this making me stronger or smarter?
    • How can this help me and others?

    2) We become what we think about. By the law of cause and effect, what we think about in our lives, we bring about in our lives. This occurs whether we are consciously aware of our thoughts or not. This works because our thoughts are a cause set in motion. These thoughts will attract things in our lives that will allow these thoughts to manifest in physical reality. This is the basis of self-actualization. So be careful what you think about.

    3) Conformity is the killer of creativity and individuality. There is nobody on the planet that is quite like you. There is also nobody who has ever lived, nor anybody who will ever live, that will be exactly like you. You are literally one-of-a-kind. You are unique.Trying to be like anybody else, or a group of people, is an exercise in futility. Not only is it futile, but it is detrimental. The one thing you have is your individuality. Embrace it and capitalize on your personal strengths. When the majority of people are doing something a certain way, it does not mean that it is the best way. It means that it is the average way. Strive to be excellent, not average.

    4) A sense of gratitude can immediately increase your quality of life. Thinking about and being grateful for the things you have increases joy, happiness, and overall outlook on life. What you focus on expands and when you focus on what you have, you bring more of it into your life. This also cultivates an attitude of a sense of abundance. When you focus on what’s missing, you cultivate pessimism, cynicism, and quality of life goes down. This leads to a sense of scarcity and negativity.

    5) Most people regret the things they didn’t do, not the things they did do. Your life is singular and finite. Take chances and enjoy life. You only live once. Make this one-time experience great, fun, exciting, and full of joy and happiness.

    6) Focus on the things you can control, and do not focus on the things you cannot control. Allowing things that you cannot control to upset you will set you up for frustration and decrease your quality of life. There is absolutely no point in getting upset about things such as the weather, traffic, and other people.

Instead, focus on things you can control, and you give yourself more power and leverage to affect your life. The one thing that you can always control is your attitude.

You often cannot control your circumstances, but you can control how you decide to respond to your life circumstances.

  8. Inspiration Has The Power To Change The World

As members of the human race, we all have one thing in common, and that is the desire to better our situation and improve our lives. For many, it’s far too easy to get sucked into the belief that we are limited, that our dreams are impossible and that the ‘good life’ wasn’t really meant for us in the first place.

Sometimes in the hustle and bustle of everyday life, we get caught up in the drama around us and forget who we are on a deeper level. We forget that we are Divine beings having a human experience.

But all it takes is one little spark of inspiration, and we can leave those fearful thoughts behind. Inspiration reminds us that we are not our problems, nor are we bound by our limiting beliefs.

When we are inspired, our spark inside turns into a flame and our lives and those around us are changed. We have the courage to step into the unknown and follow our dreams. We set aside our fears and move forward confidently to play bigger in the world and live the life of our dreams.

But how do we find such inspiration? It can be found almost anywhere, if we’re open to finding it. Perhaps it’s a walk in the woods, watching a child at play, enjoying the scent of a flower or gazing into the eyes of your beloved. Perhaps it’s as easy as reading something that reminds you what a powerful being you are and helps you step away from the story you’ve been telling yourself for so long.

Sometimes inspiration can hit us like a bolt of lightning, electrifying our ideas into action, and other times it’s the voice on a gentle breeze, nudging us to take the next baby step.

Regardless of how we find it, inspiration has the power to change the world. For with inspiration, whatever we can imagine becomes possible. Inspiration has the power to change a boring life into one of What if…?. It opens the floodgates to possibility, brings a smile to our face and adds a bounce to our step.
